The Annual Rod Lucas "Bowl for the Badge" Memorial Tournament is named in honor of Rod Lucas who was Sergeant with the Fresno County Sheriff's Office. Rod's life ended tragically in October of 2016 while serving as a Supervisor for the Fresno County Sheriff's Office Narcotic Enforcement Division.

Rod was a member of the California Narcotic Officers' Association - Region VII and was dedicated to the eradication of narcotics in our community.

Furthermore, Rod was a dedicated law enforcement professional, a family man, devoted husband, outdoorsman and person who possessed an unwavering belief in his Christian faith.

Rod was always willing to help out, give a hand, mentor a kid, or do whatever it took to make our world a better place to live in.
